Location

There are two areas to Jingle Pot – North Jingle Pot and South Jingle Pot. One of the most beloved parts of the South Jingle Pot area is its proximity to beautiful lakes and nature parks, such as Westwood lake and Mt. Benson Regional Park. North Jingle Pot is a more rural area of the city, it stays close to the North end of city with all of its amenities – making it a great spot to raise a family, or for those who prefer to stay on the edge of the city.

Just across the highway in the South end of Jingle Pot, next to the Nanaimo District Secondary School, you will find the Aquatic center and Ice Center.

For the avid hiker, the proximity to trails such as the one up Mt. Benson might be what draws you to the area. The most common trail is the one that starts at Witchcraft Lake. This route takes approximately 4 hours and is around 8 km long. For a more casual hike, jog, or the family looking for a good walk in the area, the trail around Westwood Lake might be more appealing.
